IIT Bombay said that the CEED and UCEED 2024 questions are designed to test students’ openness, creativity and inquisitiveness, critical thinking ability, comprehension and communication skills.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has revised the syllabus for the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) and Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination in Design (UCEED) 2024 session. Candidates can check CEED and UCEED 2024 Syllabus on official websites ceed.iitb.ac.in and uceed.iitb.ac.in respectively.
Through an official statement, IIT Bombay said that the CEED and UCEED 2024 questions are designed to test students’ openness, creativity and inquisitiveness, critical thinking, comprehension and communication skills. The question papers consist of two parts – Part A and Part B.
Part A of the UCEED syllabus will have questions on the following topics:
– Visualization and spatial reasoning.
– practical and scientific knowledge.
– control and design sensitivity.
-Environment and society.
– Analytical and logical thinking.
– Language.
– Creativity.
Part B will have questions related to drawing and design ability. “The above topics are exhaustive and reflect the nature of the questions. However, UCEED may not cover all topics,” the official release said.
Part A of the CEED curriculum will have the same topics as above, but only art and design knowledge will be covered, along with design methods and practices. Part B of the revised CEED curriculum includes topics such as Drawing, Creativity, Communication and Problem Solving.
The UCEED and CEED 2024 exams consist of two parts (Parts A and B). Part A is computer-based test and includes three sections like numerical answer type (NAT) questions, multiple choice questions (MSQ) and multiple choice questions (MCQ).
UCEED 2024 Part B questions will be displayed on the computer and the answers should be written in the booklet provided by the invigilators. Part B of the UCEED and CEED 2024 exam should be completed in 60 minutes.
UCEED is an entrance test conducted by IIT Bombay to offer admission to an undergraduate course in design. On the other hand, the CEED entrance exam is held for students who are applying for a Master’s degree in design.
