Taiwanese electronics major Foxconn announced today that it intends to set up a manufacturing facility in Kongara Kalan.
Foxconn Technology Group Chairman Yang Liu in a letter to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao confirmed Foxconn’s commitment to set up a manufacturing facility at Kongar Kalan and sought the support of the state team to make Kongar Kalan Park operational as soon as possible, the CMO (Chief Minister’s Office) said in a statement.

Young Liu also invited K Chandrasekhar Rao to Taiwan as his personal guest. “It would be my honor to host you in Taipei. I look forward to meeting you soon,” Yang Liu said in the letter.
K Chandrasekhar Rao and Yang Liu met at Pragati Bhavan on March 2 and it was agreed that Foxconn would set up an electronics manufacturing facility in Telangana with the potential to employ over one lakh people, the CMO release added.
