Sara feels that Ali Khan has not been at her best in her 2020 releases.
In a recent podcast interview, she opened up about her releases and said, “My performance in Aaj Kal Love was terrible. For example, I couldn’t convince in Coolie. I think I know that. Me. After Kedarnath and Simmba, Me, Mom, this too I understand it’s a waiting game. [Amrita Singh]my brother [Ibrahim Ali Khan], the audience, everyone had certain expectations because I was decent in those films. I suddenly came out and he was like, “Oh my God, Sarah!” And then I gave you two movies where you were like, “Really Sarah?”
She further added, “I think I lost my sense of reality and I started doing things that I wasn’t quite sure about. I think there was an element of fakeness to me during that time. I wasn’t formally trained as an actor. I’m not a manicurist at all.” and this makes me very sensitive and dependent only on instinct, so if I myself pollute this instinct with falsehood, then I have nothing left.
