Orders for the Hyundai Alcazar with a powerful 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine started in the country some time ago. The South Korean brand’s three-row SUV has now been launched with a new powerplant, while the Alcazar with the new powertrain starts at Rs 16.75 lakh ex-showroom. There are also a total of 4 variants offered namely Prestige, Platinum, Platinum (O) and Signature (O). However, only the Platinum (O) and Signature (O) trims come with the option of an automatic transmission and a 6-seat configuration. The SUV now meets the RDE standard, and the new engine is ready for E20 flex fuel.
The new power plant is capable of producing a maximum power output of 160 PS and a maximum torque of 253 Nm. It will be available with two transmission options – 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT. Additionally, the existing 1.5L oil burner will be available, producing a peak output of 116 PS and 250 Nm. The diesel engine is available with a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT. The diesel variants are priced from Rs 16.70 lakh, ex-showroom.
In addition, the design of the front radiator grille has been slightly modified, which makes the Alcazar look a little bit new. Also, the pool lights now get the Alcazar logo. Other changes in the 2023 Hyundai Alcazar load it with features. Meanwhile, the SUV comes with an anti-idling system and 6 airbags as standard across the range.

Loaded to the rafters, the Alcazar comes with features like automatic climate control, ambient lighting, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, 10.25-inch LCD for the instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, air filter, cruise control, Bose audio. system, power seats, and more. In terms of dimensions, the Alcazar is 4,500mm long, 1,790mm wide and 1,675mm tall. It also gets a long wheelbase of 2760 mm.
