Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) is conducting an application based recruitment drive. Rolling applications means that early applicants will be given priority. The Institute seeks to fill the posts of Associate Professor, Associate Professor and Professor for various departments. Departments with vacancies for three posts include Aerospace Engineering, Biology and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, and Chemical and Civil Engineering.
Interested candidates can apply for positions at academic centers such as Ashank Desai Center for Policy Studies, Center for Research in Resource Engineering, Center for Technological Alternatives for Rural Areas, Center for Urban Science and Engineering, Koita Center for Digital Health and Center for Machine Learning. Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must have a PhD degree with first class honors or equivalent in their previous degree. Applicants must also have an excellent academic record, including publications in reputable journals. A minimum of three years of post-PhD teaching, research, or professional experience is required for a Grade I assistant. If the candidate does not have the required post-doctoral experience, but meets the other criteria, they will be awarded the rank of Associate Professor II.
Candidates must have at least six years of post-PhD experience to apply for the position of Associate Professor. Out of which three years should be Associate Professor Grade I or equivalent in any institution or field of repute. For the post of Professor, a candidate must have at least ten years of post-PhD experience, including four years at the Associate Professor level or equivalent in any institution or field of repute.
