Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated the event with their loved ones at the Montecito Castle in California, where their daughter Lilibeth was christened on Friday.
After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s 21-month-old daughter was baptized by the Anglican Bishop of Los Angeles, Reverend John Taylor, guests at the event began to celebrate the moment.
Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland turned heads as she danced to a playlist featuring songs from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding at Windsor Castle.
Quoting a media source, Harry’s mother-in-law said Meghan and Harry won hearts by dancing to a famous song close to their hearts.
A gospel choir also sang “Oh Happy Day” and “This Little Light of Mine.”
Harry and Meghan left their senior royal duties in 2020 and moved to the US, where their youngest daughter had a British baptism and an Anglican ceremony at their new home in Los Angeles. Among the guests was the couple’s billionaire fiance Tyler Perry.
Sussex also invited King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales to the ceremony, but they declined. This move by the royal family will be seen as news for Meghan and Harry.
