Online application process for Undergraduate (NEET UG) National Eligibility Test 2023 is live now. Candidates can apply for the entrance exam through the official website neet.nta.nic.in on April 6 till 9 PM. The National Testing Agency will conduct the NEET UG 2023 exam on Sunday, May 7.

Application fee increase
NEET UG 2023 registration fee hiked. Last year also increased in all categories. It is Rs 1,700 this year for the general category. Last year it increased from 1500 to 1600. The fee for EWS and OBC-NCL categories is Rs.1600. Last year, it increased from Rs 1,400 to Rs 1,500. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD and third gender categories, it is Rs.1000. Last year, it increased from Rs 700 to Rs 800 in 2021.

Reduction of exam cities
This year, NTA reduced the number of exam cities. It is conducted in 485 exam cities in India and 14 exam cities abroad. Last year, NEET UG was held in 543 cities. The number of exam cities outside India remained the same, but exam cities within India were reduced by 58.
Address proof to be uploaded while applying
Candidates have to upload proof of their current and permanent address. “All the candidates are required to upload the address proof (present and permanent address) during NEET (UG) – 2023 online application form. Address proof includes AADHAAR Card, Domicile Proof, Passport, Voter ID Card etc. may enter,” it is said. official notification.
Changing the tee-break formula
In previous years, age and application number were part of NEET UG eligibility policy, but NTA has removed the same criteria this year. NEET UG score is used for admission in BSc Nursing
