Prince Harry and Meghan Markle share big news about daughter Princess Lilibeth Diana’s christening

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have confirmed that they christened their 21-month-old daughter in an intimate ceremony at their home in Montecito, California, on Friday.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have shared some big news about their daughter Lilibeth Princess Diana.

Omid Scobie, a friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, announced the news on Twitter, saying: “I can confirm that Princess Lilibeth Diana was baptized on Friday 3rd March by the Reverend John Taylor, Archbishop of Los Angeles.”

The biographer also said that King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Princess Kate were invited but did not attend the ceremony.

Harry and Meghan started calling their daughter Lilibeth the princess and Archie the prince.

The Sussexes opted out of their youngest daughter’s British baptism and held an Anglican ceremony at their Montecito home for 20 to 30 friends, including billionaire godfather Tyler Perry.

Harry and Meghan invited King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales to the California ceremony last Friday, but they declined.

About 30 guests attended the event, including Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and Lilybeth’s godfather, Tyler Perry.

After Lily was baptized by the Anglican Bishop of Los Angeles, the Reverend John Taylor, guests and family, including Doria Ragland, danced to a playlist of songs from Harry and Meghan’s wedding at Windsor Castle.

According to the Sussexes, Archie and Lilibeth will not be denied their birthrights, but will be allowed to decide whether to give up or continue using the titles when they are older.
