Captain of Quetta Gladiators after getting injured in last game Sarfaraz Ahmed was absent from his team’s match against Peshawar Zalmi today.
In Sarfaraz’s absence, Quetta will be led by all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz, who has been replaced by Bismillah Khan as the wicketkeeper.

The Gladiators skipper was taken to a local hospital to undergo a scan.
Reports revealed that there was no fracture, but the former Pakistan captain is still in pain.
Due to injury, Sarfaraz was also unable to continue his wicketkeeping duties in the last 2.2 overs of the innings. In his place, Umar Akmal kept the wicket for the rest of the game.
However, when his side needed to come out with the bat, Sarfaraz took painkillers and headed for the crease. In order not to aggravate the injury, his finger was also tightly bandaged.
After scoring his maiden PSL 100 against the Kings in their previous match this season, Martin Guptill once again showed his dominance and led the Gladiators to a four-wicket victory.
All set to chase down 165 runs in the 22nd over of PSL 8, the Gladiators’ batting line-up faltered once again. Young Omair Bin Yusuf (8) dropped to second place and chased down one after the other.
Iftikhar Ahmed failed to score once again during this year’s PSL as he managed to add just four runs in all.
Gladiators were 63-5 with Guptill leading the innings along with skipper Sarfaraz. The two batsmen put on 95 runs in 57 balls with Guptill making the key contribution.
Guptill scored an unbeaten 86 as the Gladiators secured a much-needed victory. His powerful knock included nine boundaries and four maximums. Sarfaraz contributed 25 to 29 in his team’s victory.
