Team Pakistan will play the T20 series against Afghanistan in Sharjah as Afghanistan announced the dates for the upcoming bilateral series.
Afghanistan will host the T20 bilateral series with the Men in Green, scheduled to be played in Sharjah on March 25, the first bilateral series of many matches between the Asian neighbours. The second game of the series will be held on March 27, and the final on March 29.
The upcoming series is scheduled for the month of Ramadan and all the games will be played after Iftar.
Pakistan and Afghanistan had previously locked horns in the one-off ODI in Sharjah in 2012 and the T20I there in 2013.
Afghanistan Cricket Board chief Mirwais Ashraf has expressed hope to expand ties with Pakistan in addition to continuing a great partnership and frequent cricket assignments.
He attributed the series to the strength of the Afghanistan national team and cricket and expressed his excitement to play the Men in Green in the series.
The Tem Green, led by Babar Azam, will travel to the UAE on March 23 after the conclusion of the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
