Lahore Qalandars beat Islamabad United by 119 runs on Thursday 26th match Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 at Pindi Cricket Stadium.

During the match, Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan proved his worth in his batting line after taking four wickets to help the Indians restrict United’s strong batting line-up to 107-9.

Rashid took four wickets for 21 runs. Zaman Khan and Haris Rauf took two wickets each to help the hosts defend a mammoth target of 227.

United batted in the first innings Azam Khan injured finger. He couldn’t fight tonight.

Alex Hales and Hasan Ali scored 18 runs each.

Earlier, Qalandars opener Fakhar Zaman scored his second hundred as his team scored 226-5.

Batting first, Qalandars lost to Abdullah Shafique in the first round. Fazalhaq was delivered to Farooqi Abdullah in full.

Fakhar and Kamran Ghulam played the innings from there – that too in an aggressive mood. Fakhar has been in top form this season, smashing the ball around the park.

After taking three lifelines – two dropped catches and a successful review – Fakhar reached his second hundred of the tournament. In partnership with Kamran, he scored 122 runs from 62 balls.

Kamran scored 41 from 30 before falling to Mohammad Wasim Jr. However, Fakhar did not stop there and became a partner. Sam Billings 70 runs together.

Fakhar managed to score 115 runs off 57 balls, including eight boundaries and as many sixes. Billings 32 off 22. Rashid Khan’s quickfire 15 runs also helped the Kalans score big.

For United, Farooqi took three wickets, while Hasan Ali and Wasim shared one.
