Zach Braff revealed that he had written a script for Florence Pugh during their meeting Good Man premieres Wednesday.
Pugh and Zac Braff reunited on Wednesday for the premiere of their upcoming film. Good Man in London. The film was produced, written and directed by Braff, and Pugh co-produced the film in addition to starring in it.
In a question-and-answer session after the premiere, the film’s writer told the audience that he wrote the script for Pugh during the pandemic.
“I wanted to tell the story because I felt these emotions. I’ve lost a lot of people in my life that were very important to me,” Braff said.
“We’re locked in and it’s time to write. I mean, there was nothing left to do but start the script because I wanted to do it, I love it, and I wanted to write something for Florence, and this is what came out of me,” he added.
Pugh, who was living with Braff at the time (the couple had since divorced), thought about it. Scrubs The star would seclude himself in his home office while working on the script. “I wasn’t allowed to read any of it,” he said.
“I wasn’t allowed to read any scenes while he was writing and he came from the office. [having] locked up there for a few hours and then he started telling me all the parts he had discovered and I wasn’t allowed to read anything. So I learned the script and learned the character by discussing it over dinner.”
