King Charles is trying to make up for his son Prince Harry Jr. and his wife Meghan Markle by offering them an apartment at Buckingham Palace if they decide to attend his coronation.
The monarch must mend her damaged reputation after kicking the duo out of their Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage, a royal commentator has claimed.
talk to Fox News, Royal expert Christopher Andersen said Charles should throw the Duke of Sussex a “lifeline” to show he is not a “heartless landlord”.
According to the report, the apartment in California, which he can offer to the royal couple, was previously owned by Prince Andrew The Independent.
“The royal decision to move the Sussexes out of Frogmore Cottage has come as a shock, and the last thing Charles wants is to look like a heartless landlord,” shared Andersen.
“The King also needs to throw Harry a lifeline – a place he can bring his family – and feel safe if the Sussexes decide to come to the coronation at the last minute,” he added.
“Whether that’s enough to bring Harry and Meghan back to London for the big day remains to be seen,” the Royal Author said.
“They might as well take shelter at the Sussexes’ place, given all the shells on both sides of the pond.”
A spokesman for Harry and Meghan said they had “recently received emails from Her Majesty’s Office regarding the coronation”.
“We will not be making an immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend at this time,” the spokesman added.
