OC actor Adam Brody revealed that he and Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester got married “very quickly”.
During a conversation on SiriusXM The Jess Cagle Show on WednesdayBrody, 43, said marrying his wife Leighton Meester, 36, was an “easy decision”.
“My wife and I got married very quickly after we started dating,” Brody shared. “That was an easy decision for me and for us.”
“I’ve never been afraid of the idea of marriage or children. It always seemed like a route I could take,” he added.
“When I … came along, I was excited when I met the right person.”
Drawing parallels between his character Seth Cohen OC and in real life the actor said:
“I think it’s easy to get that point across with Seth’s character.”
“Also, you know, I think there are other qualities — not just in terms of loyalty and relationships, but in terms of aging.”
“Some things remind me of Seth Cohen,” Brody continued.
“I did a crime drama called StartUp, which is very adult, but the dynamic of it reminded me of Seth Cohen — and I think some of it was because he reminded me of me, you know?
“There’s a lot of overlap.”
Brody and Mister got married in 2014. The couple first met in 2010 while filming. Oranges. The couple has two children.
