Most importantly, did you know that the affiliation process is completed only when schools meet certain criteria, including both infrastructure and education?
Here are some criteria you should know before linking your school with CBSE.
Classroom infrastructure
Each classroom in a CBSE school should have a minimum area of ​​8 meters by 6 meters (about 500 square feet). Each student must have at least one square foot of floor area. Every science laboratory in CBSE schools, especially middle and higher secondary schools where science subjects are taught, should be at least 9 meters by 6 meters or at least 600 square feet in size.
Infrastructure of the library
The size of a CBSE affiliated school library should be at least 14 meters by 8 meters. The library should have books for each subject and class according to the age characteristics of children. Taking into account the modern requirements, among the books there should be electronic versions of both fiction and non-fiction, reference books, encyclopedias, publications, journals, magazines and newspapers.
The library should not contain books and educational materials that create hatred for each other’s religion and language. Books rejected by the Board or Government should not be kept in the library. The school should regularly provide books to each student from the library. The school library should have an appropriate budget structure.
Computer infrastructure
The computer lab of a CBSE affiliated school should be at least 9 meters by 6 meters or at least 600 square feet in area. The laboratory should have at least 20 computers. The institution must have a high-speed Internet connection. A school with 800 students should have at least one computer room. When high school students are taking courses in computer science or information technology, there should be a dedicated computer lab with adequate facilities. Schools should prioritize cyber security.
Other requirements
If there is more space in the school, music, dance, art, sports, etc. you can create separate rooms for activities. For these events, the school can build a large multi-purpose hall if desired. Each section should have enough space to seat 40 children. Furthermore, the partnership law stipulates that each school must have the same class strength.
Each floor of the school should be equipped with a water dispenser for students. Staff should also have access to separate toilet facilities. The school should have all the necessary facilities and resources for teaching Home Science, Vocational Subjects, Vocational Subjects and Arts. The school should follow fire regulations and should have an outdoor basketball court, volleyball court, kabaddi court and athletic field.
