Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been slammed for not turning down King Charles’ invitation to the coronation because they can’t turn down an offer to be in the news.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been criticized by American talk show host Megyn Kelly for turning down an opportunity to be “on camera”.
Bridget Fetasi, a guest on The Kelly Show, said Harry and Meghan had “really learned” to “make money off sacrifice” and were still part of the royal family.
as reported daily mail, The Californian couple are said by Buckingham Palace to be “fully involved in the planning” and that the duo may attend the ceremony.
A source said palace officials were “arranging the logistics for the historic event” and “have been instructed to include the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the program for May 6”.
“Nobody knows if that means they’ve actually accepted – which, of course, can only happen if they do – but it’s not a no.”
Discussing their possible presence at the historic event, Kelly said, “You’re surprised, I’m surprised they didn’t turn down the opportunity to be on camera in front of the world.”
“They just want to have their cake and eat it too,” the comedian said. “They want to be like, ‘This is the most racist, horrible family.’
“But can we attend all the functions and get all the press and make it about us in some way?” – he added.
To which Kelly joked, “I can’t wait until they get little Prince Archie and Princess Lilybeth on their knees.”
“Good for them. They learned how to make money off the sacrifice and still somehow stay in the family,” Fetasi said. “I don’t understand how or why, but they have a very good relationship.”
