The mayor reviewed the construction and directed the officials to speed up the work to make the school building available for public use, said officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

The MCD will build new schools and provide quality education to Delhi’s children on the education model of the Arvind Kejriwal government, Mayor Shelly Oberoi said on Friday.

Oberoi along with Social Welfare Minister Raaj Kumar Anand inspected the under-construction MCD school building in Prem Nagar area of ​​Karol Bagh area on Friday.

The mayor reviewed the construction and directed the officials to speed up the work to make the school building available for public use, said officials of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

With the construction of this school, the residents of Prem Nagar, Nehru Nagar, Baljeet Nagar, Punjabi Basti (Baljeet Nagar), Patel Nagar West and Gayatri Colony, including the weaker sections, will be able to send their dependents. to their nearby schools, Oberoi said.

“This school works in two shifts and about 1000 children study in one shift. The school has a computer room for children, a library room, a science room, a medical room, a gym, etc. will be,” the official statement said.

During the inspection, the mayor talked to local residents and some of them complained that the road was closed due to the construction of the boundary wall of the school.

The head of the city instructed the law enforcement officers to find a solution to the problem so that the residents would not be inconvenienced.

“The mayor said that the MCD will build new schools and provide quality education to the children of Delhi as per the education model of the Delhi government,” the report said. He will continue to inspect other under-construction MCD school buildings and ensure their timely completion, he added.
