ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqviissued a legal notice to the defense of sons Mian Dawood and publicly apologized within 15 days for defaming them, News reported on Sunday.

The complaint was filed seeking the removal of Naqvi after his name surfaced in the recent audio leak of the former Punjab chief minister. Parvez Elahi and others.
The lawyer further said that the judge used his position to help his son and daughter study abroad and benefit financially from Zahid Rafique.
In a legal notice, Syed Tassaduq Mustafa Naqvi and Syed Tassaduq Murtaza Naqvi – sons of Justice Naqvi – asked the complainant to issue a public apology within 15 days.
“You must also make corrections in the same manner and manner, failing which you expose yourself to legal liability (civil and criminal) for defaming the reputation of the undersigned as an integral part of a reputable institution,” it says. legal notice.

Both the brothers termed the complainant’s allegations as criminal in nature and an attempt to blackmail and defame them.
“All you are doing is pretending to be a jealous, hateful person and running malicious campaigns against people in crisis,” the brothers said, adding that the actions would be dealt with by law.
“In response to your allegations, it is hereby notified that the undersigned holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London, a Master of Laws degree from Indiana University Bloomington, and majors in business and commercial law,” the brothers said. declared.
They said they have been practicing at the Lahore High Court (LHC) since August 2017 and are completely financially independent.
The brothers said that the petitioner did not even attend law school and therefore did not deserve to be called a lawyer, adding that this in itself was a flagrant violation of the law and the rules applicable to lawyers. Responding to the legal notice, Dawood said the decision whether to respond to the legal notice or not would be taken after consulting legal friends.
