Australian actress Cate Blanchett is “always in awe” of her famous co-star.
The 53-year-old actress, who won an Oscar nomination for her role as a musician in Tar, admits that despite her success, she is always surprised when she comes out in front of the public.
talk to Sunday Express the actress said: “There’s a lot to do in the world and I’ve learned over the years to just focus on the task at hand, so I’m always surprised when someone taps me on the shoulder in the supermarket.”
He said: “To me, the world we live in is a monster. It enables, encourages, and often reinforces and rewards monstrous behavior.
“It’s easy to say he’s a monster, but the movie is more ambiguous than that. It begins intimately, not with a person, but with a cell phone, light opinion and gossip, as well as the media. I am a hero, rather a mystery. On the one hand, I felt that I was playing a state of being, or a set of atmospheres, as much as I was playing a person.”
Blanchett has won several awards, including two Academy Awards, four British Academy Awards, and four Golden Globe Awards, as well as nominations for a Tony Award and two Primetime Emmy Awards.
