The development of self-awareness, speech, empathy and understanding of communication are the main objectives of the curriculum.
Education Minister Atishi on Sunday released a 36-episode video series on the Delhi government’s Happiness Curriculum, saying it will help teachers around the world teach their students to live happy and purposeful lives.
Through this initiative, people will learn to truly serve humanity, he said.
The happiness curriculum was launched in 2018 in 1030 public schools in the capital of the country with the aim of strengthening the basis of happiness and well-being of students through a 35-minute lesson held every day from kindergarten to 8th grade.
The development of self-awareness, speech, empathy and understanding of communication are the main objectives of the curriculum.
“The video collections are subtitled to help the Delhi government spread the philosophy of the happiness curriculum to the masses. This is a very important initiative that will bring positive changes in our lives,” said Atishi.
The Delhi government’s Education Department series is an initiative to share the “goal of life” and the role of education in achieving that goal, he said.
The department will also share this video collection with leading universities and institutes of the world and incorporate their suggestions, the minister said.
