Gargi College, University of Delhi has invited applications for the post of Assistant Professor in various departments. The institute for girls intends to fill 100 vacancies through this recruitment. Posts are available in Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Education, English, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Microbiology, Philosophy, Physical Education, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit and Zoology.
Eligibility
Selection for the position is based on merit. To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must meet at least one of these two conditions:
1. Candidate must have Master’s degree with 55 percent marks (or equivalent marks) in relevant discipline and must have passed National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) or Research and Industrial Council. Research (CSIR).
2. At any time, hold a PhD from a university or institution ranked in the top 500 in the World University Rankings.

Application fee
Candidates belonging to Unreserved, OBC and EWS categories have to pay an application fee of Rs 500. SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates are exempted from paying any fees.
Selection process
The selection process includes a shortlisting of applications and an interview stage. Shortlisted candidates called for interview should report along with all certificates/certificates along with original photo proof. Self attested copies of certificates related to qualification, experience and category should also be submitted at the time of interview.
Salary
The job offers an attractive entry pay of Rs 57,700 in addition to other regular benefits.
