GATE 2023: After the results, candidates have to wait till March 21 to download their individual scorecards. Admission process will start later
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will release the result of 2023 Masters Aptitude Test in Engineering on Thursday, March 16. Once the results are available, candidates can check them on the official exam portal. iitk.ac.in
IIT-K will also release the cut off marks for all 29 GATE papers once the result is declared. They are based on the total marks scored by the candidates, the number of candidates who have cleared the exam and the availability of seats. There will be two cutoff lists for GATE 2023 this year. The usual eligibility cut-off is accompanied by the admission cut-off list.
GATE 2023: Previous year cut offs
Last year, the qualification cut-offs for metallurgical engineering ranged from 46.2 to 30.8 depending on the reservation categories. For engineering sciences (fluid mechanics/thermodynamics), the cutoff was between 40.3 and 26.8. Those looking to opt for textile engineering and fiber science saw a cut-off range of 36.8 to 25.6. For biotech, a minimum score of 35.5 to 23.6 was required depending on the reservation status. For Life Science (Botany/Zoology), the cutoff values ​​range from 33.9 to 22.5.
After the results, candidates have to wait till March 21 to download their individual mark cards. Admission process will start later.
The GATE 2023 computer-based test was held on February 4, 5, 11 and 12. This entrance exam is conducted for admission to several undergraduate subjects including Architecture, Commerce, Arts, Science, Engineering and Technology. Several government universities use GATE scores in their recruitment process. Institutions use applicants’ test scores to award financial aid to graduate and doctoral programs.
GATE 2023 organized by IIT-Kanput was conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and six other IITs viz. Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee. The test is conducted on behalf of the GATE National Coordination Council under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
