Nidhi and Shikhar met while pursuing a B-Tech degree in a biotechnology course in Haryana. After graduation, Shikhar decided to continue his studies and did his MTech from the Institute of Life Sciences, Hyderabad. He eventually landed a lucrative job as a chief scientist at Biocon. On the other hand, Nidhi started a successful career in the corporate world and earned an impressive salary of Rs 30 lakh per annum.
Both Nidhi and Shikhar were at the peak of their careers at that time. They had almost everything from high salary to comfortable lifestyle. Despite this, the couple felt that something was wrong and realized that they should start something on their own. Thus began the journey of Samosa Singh Food Enterprise.
Initially, they used their savings to start Samosa Singh in Bengaluru in 2015. Gradually, their efforts gave way and a large kitchen was needed to complete their work. To accomplish this, they needed a large kitchen and thus had to sell their dream apartment for 80 million rupees. This dampens their morale for a while, but they bravely go ahead and lease a factory in Bengaluru. This was rented out for income to continue building their own business. Their will to face uncertainty and sacrifice many dreams eventually made them reach the pinnacle of the food industry. Nidhi and Shikar’s unprecedented success is due to their innovative approach to samosas, introducing flavors like Butter Chicken and Kadai Paneer.
