2023 Maruti Suzuki Jimny Starts Reaching NEXA Dealerships: Watch Video | Automatic news

Lifestyle vehicles as well as SUVs are gaining some momentum in terms of sales in our market. The Mahindra Thar has proven its mettle, and now the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door is all set to reignite the segment for good. The SUV was showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year and has garnered over 30,000 bookings since its launch. The company is yet to confirm its launch date, but the Jimny Nexa has already started reaching dealerships. A recent YouTube video by OyeArjun shows the exercise, showing the Jimny unloaded and parked inside a dealership.

This is the first dealer in the country to display the Jimny to the public. This Nexa dealer is located near Sikanderpur Metro Station in Gurugram, Haryana. The driver also mentioned the contact details of the dealership in the video description.

Cute, compact and capable are the words that came to our mind when we first saw the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5 Door. There may not be a Tar on the road, but there is a road like a gypsy. With a box design, things are mostly vertical. And, the Jimny is designed with the exception of the circular headlights. Overall, the design looks attractive and there will be many color options.

Inside, the Jimny is identical to the 3-door model up to the first row, except for a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. There is enough room for two adults around the second row. In addition, there is a very practical boot space. The Jimny gets 6 airbags as standard, along with a host of other features including headlamp washers, hill descent control, hill hold assist, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, among others.

Under the hood is a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder NA petrol that churns out peak power of 104.8 PS and 134.2 Nm of peak torque. It is offered with a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed AT. In addition, Jimny’s off-road attributes are very strong. It gets 3-link suspension for solid axles on both sides. There is a locking center differential with a low-range transfer case.
