A wooden roof Alum, Hilary Burton, detailed her traumatic experience on the show’s latest episode Drama queens podcast, which she co-hosts with Bethany Joy Lenz and Sophia Bush Diversity.
On Wednesday’s episode, the actress revealed that she was confronted by her co-star Chad Michael Murray after she allegedly “caught up” with an unnamed man.[bed her] in front of other people..
“Chad walked up and said, ‘What are you doing?’ goes. He told our boss at the bar,” he said, adding that the 41-year-old actor had “nothing to lose.”
He continued, “He saw our boss grab me in front of a lot of people, and you know, Chad had nothing to lose because he knew our boss hated him anyway.
“A lot of people had a lot to lose, so you keep quiet when you have a lot to lose. But [our boss] He was so comfortable that it wasn’t his problem. [He thought]’I can do whatever I want to her in public when her boyfriend is around.’
Bush, 40, agreed, saying Murray was “protected as the No. 1 person on the call sheet.”
“He had the strongest power, so he could come and push our boss away from you and fight. I’m glad he did. I want everyone to follow this path,” he said. “Thank God, Hilary, for staying with Chad, who had a falling out with our boss.”
Burton was one of 18 women who accused show creator Mark Schwan of sexual harassment. In the podcast, she said an unnamed boss attacked her on a flight and during a car ride after a trip to Honey Grove, Texas for Season 4 Episode 17. OTH.
In August 2021, Burton paid tribute to Murray for “defending[ing]Before they both left the show in season 6. “Both of us were treated badly and … Chad was my teammate,” he tweeted at the time. “My bosses were too nice people.”
