Another video of a Mahindra XUV700 owner misusing ADAS technology has gone viral: Watch | Automatic news

Videos of Mahindra XUV700 owners neglecting their cars are going viral on the internet. Adding to the list of such videos, another clip has surfaced showing the owner of an SUV activating ADAS technology while relaxing in the passenger seat. The video was taken after the couple left the XUV700 alone on the highway and got involved in the front seats. However, the current video differs from the previous video for several reasons. The video shared on Instagram begins by showing the white Mahindra XUV700 being brought outside the car showroom.

After the cut, the video shows a man sitting in the passenger seat of the SUV with the driver’s seat empty. Meanwhile, the self-driving SUV can be seen cruising on the highway at a speed of 90 km/h, which later increases to 91 km/h. Making things even more dangerous, the car appears to be swerving on the highway.

The video has the text “Autopilot mode”. It should be noted that the car cannot drive itself, but instead uses Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to stay in lane on its own. However, leaving the vehicle unattended is not recommended and can be fatal.

The video shared on Instagram has garnered over 5 million views and counting. And many people are reacting to the video criticizing this action. Commenting on the post, one social media user said: “Such videos lead to fatal accidents.” Another social media user said: “But you can’t completely depend on it and it’s not autopilot, it’s auto lane mode.” Some other netizens commented on the post, asking, “Who is driving this car? Is there a ghost?”
