“I went to award shows and got drunk a lot. No one ever said I was drunk. [But at the Grammys] they thought, “He is drunk.” I thought it was fun,” the Gone Girl star noted.
Affleck, who has been open about his addiction, said: “It makes me wonder if it’s wise to admit to addiction, because there’s a lot of sympathy, but there’s still a huge stigma, which is often inhibiting. I think it’s a hindrance to improving people’s lives.”
