He went on to say that during the prestigious event, people thought he was drunk and how he realized that he needed to talk about his drunkenness.
“I went to award shows and got drunk a lot. No one ever said I was drunk. [But at the Grammys] they thought, “He is drunk.” I thought it was fun,” the Gone Girl star noted.
Affleck, who has been open about his addiction, said: “It makes me wonder if it’s wise to admit to addiction, because there’s a lot of sympathy, but there’s still a huge stigma, which is often inhibiting. I think it’s a hindrance to improving people’s lives.”
