Drew Barrymore recently shared her reaction to Grant’s comments about her singing Music and lyrics on social networks.
Earlier this week, Grant appeared in a video WIRED‘s Autocomplete Interview, in which he was asked a question about the film during an interview segment that asked, “Does Hugh Grant really sing? Music and lyrics?”
He replied, “Yeah, fine, but I’m on auto-tune. Actually, that’s not true – I’m a bit auto-tuned, but not as much as some people.’
Grant then gushed about his co-star, adding: “Drew Barrymore was in that movie with me and I don’t think I’d mind saying her singing was just terrible. I heard dogs barking more than he sang.’
On Thursday, Barrymore took to Instagram and posted a video to share her reaction to Grant’s criticism of her voice in the romcom.
The Never loved The actress was all smiles as she performed Way Back Into Love, written by the late Fountains of Wayne singer Adam Schlesinger.
“Oh Hubert, Hubert, this one’s for you,” he said in the video after singing a few lines from the song.
Barrymore captioned the post: “#SingForHughGrant JOIN ME.”
