Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been slammed for using royal titles for their children after Prince Archie and Princess Lilibeth “walked away” from the monarchy.
talk to ExpressAccording to royal expert Nigel Cawthorne, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may attend the coronation of King Charles with their children, even if they are not invited.
“I would have thought Meghan would come with Harry and the prince and princess. [Harry might say] “I renounce the monarchy, but my children are princes and princesses,” he said.
“If you give up the monarchy and royalty, it’s very strange to do that,” the expert added.
“But [Harry and Meghan] They are so self-absorbed that they want beautiful balls and reject the rest. I think they’re just trying to have their cake and eat it.”
Finally, ending speculation over whether or not the Sussexes’ children will receive titles, a spokesperson for the couple announced that “Princess Lilibeth Diana” was christened earlier this month.
Following this, the royal couple in California issued a statement defending their children’s right to the title as their “birthright”.
“The children’s titles have been a birthright since their grandfather became a monarch,” Harry and Meghan said in a statement.
