NTA SC, ST will comment on the cut-off date

NTA has also clarified that such cut off date is not applicable in SC/ST certificate format given in Annexure-XA as well as NEET UG 2023 online application.

The National Testing Agency has issued a notification for NEET UG 2023 clarifying that the cut-off date will not apply in Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) certificate. NTA has said that the NEET 2023 notification has been amended accordingly. Candidates can read the complete notification on the official website of NTA at neet.nta.nic.in.

“Regarding the NEET (UG) – 2023 newsletter, it is clarified that the cut-off date for obtaining SC/ST certificate has not been fixed in favor of the interested candidates,” the official release said. In the notification, NTA said that the clause 6.2.3 of the NEET UG 2023 bulletin has been amended accordingly. Even clauses (1) and (2) of Appendix XB in the detailed bulletin have been updated.

Further, NTA has stated that no such cut-off date is applicable in SC or ST certificate format given in Annexure-XA and it is not applicable in NEET UG 2023 online application form. As per NEET 2023 reservation policy, 15 per cent seats in each program are reserved for Scheduled Caste, 7.5 per cent for Scheduled Tribe and 5 per cent seats for General, General Category – Economically Weaker Section, Other Backward Classes. – Creamy layer, SC and ST category seats for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates.

Students are advised to register online for the entrance exam at neet.nta.nic.in before the NEET UG 2023 registration deadline. According to the schedule, candidates can apply till April 6. The NEET Undergraduate 2023 exam is scheduled to be held on May 7. It lasts for 3 hours and 20 minutes. The entrance exam starts at 14.00 and ends at 17.20.

NEET UG 2023: Steps to Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website neet.nta.nic.in

Step 2: Click on “NEET(UG) 2023 Registration” link.

Step 3: Register and proceed with the application form.

Step 4: Fill the required details, upload all the documents and pay the main fee.

Step 5: Submit the form as requested and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

NEET UG exam is conducted in 13 languages ​​like Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia and Punjabi.
