Rani Mukerji’s latest movie Ms. Chatterjee v. Norway Norway’s ambassador to India was accused of presenting a false case against Hans Jacob Frydenlund.

Hans said via Twitter: “This misrepresents Norway’s belief in family life and our respect for different cultures. Children’s welfare is a matter of great responsibility, it is never about fees and profits. #Norway cares.

“As Norway’s Ambassador to India, it is important for me to point out the official Norwegian view and the fact that this film, unfortunately, portrays is not accurate. The incident that inspired the film was resolved ten years ago by agreement with the Indian authorities. This film is a fictional representation of the case,” he concluded.

Producer Nikhil Advani told the ambassador that he conducted a private screening to clear all misunderstandings, after which he warned them.

Nikhil shared on Twitter, “Atiti Devo Bhava! is a cultural mandate in India. Every Indian is taught this by our elders. Yesterday evening we received the Ambassador of Norway and volunteered to show him Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway.
