Gwyneth Paltrow has responded to backlash after comments made about her diet.
The Shakespeare is in love actress revealed she supports a “restrictive” diet after appearing on The Art Of Being Well podcast.
“I think it’s important for everyone to know that I’ve been doing a podcast with my doctor, so this is someone I’ve been working with for over two years to deal with my chronic illnesses,” Gwyneth explained on March 17. The video was posted on his Instagram Stories page. “I’ve had COVID for a long time, and what that shows for me is a very high level of inflammation over time.”
The 50-year-old explained that she’s been working with podcast host Dr. Will Cole to “focus on foods that aren’t really inflammatory.”
“It’s based on my medical results and the extensive testing I’ve done over time,” the Oscar winner noted. “It was an open approach to conversation between me and my doctors, it wasn’t meant to be advice to anyone. It really worked for me. It was very powerful and very positive.”
Several nutritionists endorsed Paltrow’s diet after she released an episode of her podcast with the Goop founder on March 13.
However, the Oscar winner clarified the matter on Instagram:
“It doesn’t mean I eat like this every day,” she added. “By the way, I eat a lot more than bone broth and vegetables. I eat whole foods, and I also have many days where I eat whatever I want, potatoes and other foods that are healthy and soothing to the system.”
