It’s a special day for Karan Johar. The film director is celebrating his mother’s 80th birthday. On a special occasion, Karan shared a few pictures with his mother. While some of the photos were throwbacks featuring Hiroo Johar, others captured cute mother-child moments. The photo album also had pictures of Hiru Johar’s cake cutting ceremony. We’ll admit that we stared at the two delicious cakes for more than a minute.

The first was a kiwi and dragon fruit cake decorated with chocolate sprigs and pink flowers. Next to it was a golden cake, which was basically a crusty coating, with candles and a message that said, “Hello 80 years.” On the set, Karan Johar wrote, “My brave and resilient mother turned 80 today. She taught me how to love… how to stand up for what I believe in… if I’m right, to never apologize or make excuses… to never pretend to be someone I’m not.”

In his lengthy post, Karan called his mother his “fashion police” as well as his “hero”. The director-producer said that even today, he is the only one who is “still scared”. “She’s like my conscience, she’s my fashion police… She’s also the only person I’m still afraid of… I love you planets and my mom…. Without you, I could never have raised Ruhi and Yash,” – read Karan Johar’s birthday post. She also added the hashtag “mymommyhero”. Check out the pictures below.
Let’s face it, Karan Johar’s choice of birthday cake is too good. Earlier, on the occasion of the 6th birthday of twins Yash and Ruhi, the director chose Mickey and Minnie Mouse cakes.
