Despite purchasing tickets, several Blackpink fans were reportedly denied entry to the concert hall. The band is in the middle of their Born Pink tour and held a concert in Kaohsiung on March 18.
Soon after the concert began, reports began to emerge that the organizers had oversold tickets and denied entry to fans. One of the fans was Taiwanese singer Angie Lee.
“The staff of the venue said that the tickets of my husband and daughter were oversold and did not let them in. This is absolutely ridiculous.
We paid more than two months ago. We spent $9,000 TWD (about $300 USD) and bought them directly from the organizer. They said to pick up the tickets at the venue, but the employees of the institution said that our tickets were oversold, so we don’t have tickets.
You can’t wait until someone shows up at the meeting point before you say there’s a problem.”
The organizers responded to the reports and explained that such a situation did not occur: “The staff of the venue confirmed that there were no cases such as “receiving tickets from the past” and “overselling tickets”. We can’t find 50 fans [that were allegedly affected by this incident]. I confirmed with all staff that this did not happen. Until tickets are officially sold, they can be used to enter the venue.”
