Two cases of question paper leak of class 10th exams conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, (SEBA) have come to light, leading to the cancellation of both the exams.

Several examinees of the Class 10 state board exam staged a demonstration in Guwahati outside the office that conducts the test, while hundreds of others staged similar protests in other parts of Assam on Saturday.

Saturday’s Modern Indian Languages ​​(MIL) and English exams were canceled due to the question paper leak – the second such cancellation in the state in a week for the same reason – as hundreds of students, including matric aspirants, continued to protest. event.

“We want the SEBA chairman to come and meet us so that we can put our issues before him. We will wait for him to come,” said a student of TC Girls HS.

Another person from Bhaskar Vidyapeeth added, “We don’t understand why Chairman RC Jain is afraid to face us. He is sending his representatives, but we will not stop until we meet the chairman.” Students of several schools protested in front of the SEBA office till late on Friday as well and dispersed only after a meeting with senior officials of the board.

Two cases of question paper leak of Class 10 exams conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) have been detected, leading to the cancellation of both the exams.

The General Science exam scheduled for Monday was canceled the previous night, while the Modern Indian Language (MIL) and English papers scheduled for Saturday were canceled on Thursday night, SEBA announced.

The canceled first exam will now be held on March 30 and the second on April 1.

At Namthi in Sivsagar district, a student sought the Chief Minister’s intervention and ensured that the examination was conducted smoothly.

“We are the same age as the Prime Minister’s children. We are the future of the country. We come from a middle-class family, and our parents pay for our education with great difficulty. Don’t make fun of our efforts, our future,” said the student.

Protesting students in Dholpur, Lakhimpur and Harupetiya, Darrang staged road blockades and also burnt tires and effigies of Education Minister Ranoy Pegu.

At Bongaigaon, they staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, raising slogans against SEBA and the Education Department.

Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti and its student wing formed a human chain to register their protest against the paper leak at Gandhi Chowk in Bilasipara in Dhubri district.

The protest was organized by students as well as various organizations in different parts like Gohpur, Raha, Golaghat and Mariani.
