Cinematographers play an important role in film production and are responsible for bringing the director’s vision to life on the big screen. Cinematographers handle all the technical aspects of visual storytelling, such as creating the lighting, color and framing of each shot.
Cinematography is good for creative people because it allows them to participate in different and interesting projects. We’ve listed a few companies that are currently hiring film interns. Those interested can apply for these internships to gain hands-on experience of how the industry works.
Old Delhi Talkies
Purani Dili Talkies offers internship for six months. Candidates will get a stipend of Rs 10,000 per month. Last date to apply for this internship through Internshala portal is 18th March. One of the main tasks will be to analyze the script, characters and story structure. Interns visit locations and take a series of test shots before deciding on angles, framing and other aspects of projects.
Anu Kumarj Ramatri
This is a six-month internship program. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 9,500. Last date to register for Internshala is March 30. Interns work with a team of experts to plan and execute staffing. They also select the camera and lenses in collaboration with other departments.
Boomcast Media Network Private Limited
Boomcast Media is looking for candidates available for two months. The modeling and casting agency offers a stipend ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 12,000 to selected candidates. Interested candidates can apply through Internshala till March 30. Interns support the creative team in creating visuals for Boomcast projects. They also help the team execute and brainstorm creative video projects.
Vishnu Ads in Chennai
Vishnu Ads is hiring candidates for six months internship program. The company pays a monthly stipend ranging from Rs.3000 to Rs.6000. Interested candidates can apply for internship through Internshala portal till March 23. Responsibilities include staying abreast of developments in the film industry, attending seminars and training sessions whenever possible.
Kaalia Productions in Bengaluru
The internship at Kaalia Productions lasts for six months. Last date for submission of application forms for Internshala is March 29. A monthly stipend of Rs 10,000 will be paid to the selected candidates. One of the main tasks of the intern is to work with film footage (on set or on location). They also plan the shoot together with the creative team and client.
