Thompson’s Kenan and Kel Partner Kel Mitchell said his 44-year-old longtime friend will join the conversation with his colleague during the session. That’s all alumni Lori Beth Denberg and Danny Tamberelli.
After the four comedians reconnected with their former days, Thompson offered some details about his upcoming film with Mitchell.
In Friday’s episode The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, News has surfaced that the comedy duo will be reuniting for a sequel to the 1997 Nickelodeon film. A good burger.
“It’s unbelievable, it’s a blessing,” Thompson told the crowd at 90’s Con. “We’re shooting this summer, and it should be out this year, maybe around Thanksgiving or something like that.”
He added that he was “very excited” and “wanted to finish it and get it out for people to enjoy.”
Thompson also teased the potential for special cameos from Denberg, 47, Tamberelli, 41, and other celebrities.
“I keep saying Harry Styles,” he joked on Saturday. “Sinbad will definitely come back, even if we have to go to him. [Former president] Barack Obama would be great.”
